Visit a cat colony videos

Fort Faulsey is our community cat colony in the Manchester neighborhood of Pittsburgh’s Northside. It has existed probably forever, but we took caretaking duties in December 2020. At that point there was an old pickup truck functioning as a feeding station and most of the cats lived in a nearby abandoned house.

The house was demolished, the truck towed away. So we rebuilt with shelters, feeding stations, and even some outdoor elevated beds. The colony has a branch campus in Sue’s backyard. Five cats alternate between them – Pretty Girl, Callie, Tony DiMera, Mx Pajamas, and Oksana. At the peak under our care, the colony was home to ten+ cats plus a few randos.

The cats have been neutered/spayed, vaccinated, etc. No kittens since early 2021. They get along for the most part, but the only bonded pair are Mx. Pajamas and Oksana.

These are some reels I created during my daily walk up to Fort Faulsey.
